What can you do?

The majority of our community want the current redevelopment plans for the Summer Hill Flour Mills and Lewisham Towers sites to be scaled back to ensure the development is sustainable in terms of traffic, transport, open space and local amenities.

The Summer Hill Flour Mills redevelopment was on public exhibition - http://bit.ly/pV4wfd – until 12 August 2011.  Over 1,200 local residents voiced their concerns over the scale of the development proposed.

While we are waiting to hear, you can:

  1. Register your interest for involvement and ongoing community updates from the Summer Hill Action Group (SHAG) at shactiongroup@hotmail.com
  2. Join SHAG’s Facebook site for more information about how you can help (search Summer Hill Action Group in Facebook and request to join) and keep visiting this site for regular updates
  3. Email your local State members (see contact details below) and local media to:
  • Express concern about the impact of the proposed Mungo Scott Flour Mill and Lewisham Towers developments on our community
  • Request the Summer Hill community be genuinely consulted in the development of these two historic and significant sites
  • Ask that the current plans for massive high rises to be scaled back to ensure the development is sustainable in terms of traffic, transport, open space and local amenities
